January Reflections

I am the type of person who really values not only people but also things and even events as well. Every single thing that happens in my life I always tend to cherish that and be grateful for everything at the same time. If you know me, then you'll know that I hoard all things relating to my life. Material things. Lessons. People. Even a wrapper of a small candy I will keep it lol. So I thought about doing this activity (is this even an activity? lol) so that I won't forget the things that I have achieved and learned from each month of this year. This will allow me to backtrack the meaningful things in my life that I may and will achieve each month. So that at the end of the year can easily reflect on it.

This month I reflect on this things:
New year! I am able to make my family join the gratitude exercise/
I received my BDJ box/
I finally got my certificate for ASCPi (International Medical Technology)
Washi tapes made my life full of colors
I got back into reading again. I finished 2 books: Narnia book 1 and By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept
I continously been abusing my planner :)
I attended all the Sunday Sermons this month!

Lesson Learned: Always have PASSION in life. In everything we do, learn to love every single thing with all our hearts and with all our soul in order for us to create something amazing in our life.... just like what Jesus did in his lifetime....

"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
- Deuteronomy 6:5

HAPPINESS PROJECT: JANUARY CREATIVITY

Just like any other people, I am also inspired by Gretchen Robin's The Happiness Project. Before 2012 ended, I thought of incorporating my own happiness project each month with one topic to tackle. So, I am planning to implement one goal each month that I can continuously assimilate each day.

For this month, I have been trying to blend in some creativity in my life. Now mind you, I am not really a creative person. I don't know how to draw, to paint, to knit, to craft, etc, etc, etc. But I am striving to put some color and creativity in my work just to ignite some excitement in my everyday life so I will not slack off or get idle which I tend to do most of the time.

This month I am really happy to share that:
  • I am able to keep track with my writing in my Planner/diary and add some flavor to it:
Every year I buy a planner and get all pumped up and cannot wait for a new year to come so I can write in it. And I do write on the pages of the first month which is January. But honestly, I can only do it for a couple of days or pages and then I drift away from it :( Then that's it. I won't open my planner for the next succeeding months until another year will arrive. What a waste right?! That is why I am really proud of myself that I am able to maintain the thrill of writing on the pages of my planner and able to make it more interesting by including all sorts of colorful and pretty things like washi tapes, stickers, and colored pens. I know it's quite lame but for me it's a fulfillment :) I guess joining Angela of Paperlovestory help me to be in action lol!
  • I am able to make my own Happiness Jar:
I saw someone's picture on instagram showing her Happiness jar with notes inside containing the things that make her happy. So I got my own jar, put sticker in it and each morning when I wake up, I right one thing that makes me happy and put it on that jar. As simple as that. But the level of happiness it brings is amazing. It really helps with boosting your mood all day.
  • I am able to make few blogs again:
Now I don't know if writing is creativity, but I want to add it in here because for this month I have made more than 10 posts! Which is very rare for me. Like I said, I am a lazy (ass) person. Just thinking about ideas and trying to make it into a blogpost and typing makes me to just don't want to move in my bed. I back off everytime! But making few posts this month on the start of 2013 is one thing...
  • I am able to update my radical self love bible:
For this I have to make another post just to explain about what's this all about. But basically it's like a journal thingy. The thing about it is, I only throw POSITIVE things that I can think of and feel with. I make collages, use washi tapes too, use colorful pens as well just like what I use in my planner.

These are just some of my masterpieces that are still work in progress. I still have 11 more months to see if I can continue with having creativity in my life. Crossing my fingers :)

My Week #4

This week was my and my boyfriend's 34th monthsarry. And this is the only intriguing thing that happened to my week. The 27th was our day, but we planned to celebrate it on the 26th which was Saturday because he has to go back to his hometown on Sunday, while I on the other hand will go to church of course. I was actually excited for the 26th to come, because we had plans to got to Resort's World Manila and watch Hansel and Grethel and continue on with our date there lol. But 3 days before our planned day, we got into a fight! and we didn't talk for 2 days :( I even thought we were not be able to push thru with what we planned but thankfully he didn't backed out from that and surprised me on Saturday :)

Anyway, here's my week:

Nothing really much to say about my weekdays. It's the same routine with some few matters to attend to...

As you can see with the inside of the bubble chat, I also use my planner as my little diary as well.
Here is the summary of what we did the whole Saturday :)

How's everyone's week? :)

Things I Love Thursday

I just realize that this is going to be my second to the last Tilt for this month. And I am really pleased with myself because I have been keeping it up. I am really pushing myself to finish it this month because for me being able to do a post for the whole Thursdays of January, is quite an accomplishment for me. Is that wierd?  Does anyone else feel the same way as I do in a different small way lol? Ok I am not having any sense here lol!

So, what I am loving for this week are:

Doing my manicure and pedicure. My certificate for ASCPi came in the mail. New washi tapes. Finished reading "By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept". A friend's call: talked to her for hours. Church: Last Sunday's topic, sister's fellowship, bonding with my friends (ice cream, endless talk). Able to drive again. Saw another sister (Chikay) after so long. Braided my hair. Reading score improved. Updated my journal. Mom giving me money.

Nothing much for this week. But I am still really happy and grateful for all those little blessings I got. Even though there are only few things, atleast I get to have a reason to be cheerful with my life because those are blessings from God :)

My Week #3

Oh my! We are already on our third week of January! Wow this month is passing by so fast! Before, I would just usually get bored on how slow time is for this month whenever a New Year comes, but for this year it is really going by hastily. Only 2 more weeks and we are going to bid farewell to this month until we see it in another year. That quick huh?!

Anyhoo! How was your week? Mine is rather full of excitement :) Nothing too much going on but I just felt so lively and happy and alive for my 3rd week.

So here are my days so far...

edit: Ok so I was in the verge of wrapping this post up and then everything got deleted!!!!!!!! I am so effin mad right now I don't wanna continue. I am too tired to rethink and retype every single thing :( This is frustrating me right now huhu!  I am not gonna redo what I have written awhile ago so I am just gonna summarize everything! Don't you just hate when that happens :( (really I am so mad right now!)

  • New washi tapes.
  • ASCPi Certification arrived.
  • Started and Finished the book: By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept (I even made a short conclusion about this!!)
  • My current read: Don't Sweat the Small Stuff about the Money
"When we are passionate about what we do, success will follow."
  • I had the best massage ever! ( and I think I need another one at this very moment >.<)
  • Saw another sister at church who has been long gone in attending our Sunday service attended the church yesterday with her husband and very cute baby!
  • Some of my brothers and sisters and I went to ministop to have some ice cream!
Like my slippers? haha! My feet was getting tired wearing my fancy high heels so I change to this :)
  • I was able to drive again! yey! I was too lazy to gor for a drive the past few months but yesterday I was in the mood for dressing up and taking our car with me to church hehe...

    Sorry about the glare :(

That's all folks!

And to finish this post, I wanna share this lovely verse to ease all these bad vibes I'm feeling right now! -sigh-
"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" -Psalm 27:1

What I got in the mail today!

I am so pumped up today! I was starting to feel that my day would just be as unproductive as my other days this past few weeks, but I received somethings that made me really hyper! Funny how little things help you shift your mood.

  •  I was reading a book this morning when our maid handed me over a huge envelope. At first I thought it was my order from Heykessy, but the envelope was flat and thin and very formal, so right away I knew that it was my certificate for ASCP!

Surprise!
Just seeing their logo made my heart jump!
I literally want to scream when I saw my name!
I have yet to read this :)
A very very late Christmas gift again :)
I was expecting to receive this next month but yey I'm glad I get accepted it early. Woohoo!!

  • Then another mail came in this afternoon. This time it was finally my orders from Heykessy! yippie!!!

I've been waiting for this for days!!
I super like their minimalistic packaging. It's simple yet I can't help but smile too when I look at it haha!
I just love how my name peeks out with that simple smile in the package  :)
So this are my orders. The one with the neon green dots was free!
Another freebie! a cute post card!

This was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday but was delayed because they have forgotten to mark my order as paid. But it's ok. They were honest to admit their faults so I'm fine with that. As long as my orders will get here. And they included another roll for free just to make it up for the delay. So! All's well that ends well :)

  • Oh and another thing that made my day was making my first attempt of making my own version of nail art using that white enamel from my BDJ box.

I tried lol!
My heart is still jumping with gladness right now haha! So, How was your Friday? :)

Things I love Thursday!

Now normally I would post this in my tumblr- rainbyxoxo. But for today I decided to post it here since I have been active in this blog for a couple of weeks since 2013 came.

So here are some of my tiny sweets in life that fired me up this week.

Having newly cleaned make up brushes<3 receiving my BDJ box for Dec-Jan: new lipstick, lipbalm and memo pad<3 spend time with my boyfriend <3 saw my former students at church <3 being a member of the word and prayer group <3 label maker app in my phone <3 able to attend my class again <3new storage for my stationaries <3new read this week: By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept <3 4 sunday sermons downloaded <3brother liking the verse I posted in our fridge <3 watching telenovelas with my mom in her room <3and this verse that is relating to last Sunday's sermon:

Like I said in my previous post, I am unemployed right now because I got my hands full in something else that I needed to prioritize first before I hunting for some job, but that does not hinder me from looking at some positive things in my life. Even just as little as that label app I downloaded in my phone, I get to appreciate it's function. Life must not stop at finding for those sweet little knick-knacks. So, how was your week? :)

Home for my kabuki brushes

So I have a spare tiny coin purse that I do not use for now. It's just sitting inside my cabinet and I figured it's about the same size as my kabuki's just a tad bit larger so why not use it to store my babies.

This coin purse is actually my mom's lol. It's laying around her bedroom and she was not using it so I stole it from her haha!

I have this couple of kabuki's that I always bring along with me just to avoid bringing the bigger ones. My  problem before was, it kept on getting mixed with my other products inside my make up pouch and litters as well. So I have to dig through just to look for it.
PERFECT! It fits nicely right?

Now that I'm using the coin purse to house them, it helped my make up products pretty much intact and arranged on the inside. And I like it that way. I can just easily pull out a product without digging through it. And of course it's more sanitary that way :)

My Week #2

Here is a run down of my second week on my planner...

Highlights of my week:

  • A company that I have applied for ages ago texted me about an interview on last Wednesday. But I did not go because at the moment I am committed by something else. So I really needed to get it over with first before I do some job hunting.
  • Obviously, from my previous post, I received my BDJ box last Friday. It's like a very late Christmas gift for me lol.
  • I finished the first book of the Narnia Series. Now my question about the mysterious wardrobe has been answered after a long time of wonder >.<
  • Slept over at my boyfriend's house. I went with him at Greenhills (a shopping mall here in Ph) because he had to have his phone checked up because he was having some trouble with his camera. And he needed that in med school.
  • And lastly! O MY GOLLY! this is the best thing that ever happened this week. My 4 former students in Sunday school attended the sermon last Sunday! And man they have all grown up! I haven't seen them in awhile because I was absent at church for 2 years and they well I guess went along with me lol. My reaction was over the top haha! I just love those kids and seeing them made my first month of 2013 worth while. I hope they continue attending the church again :)
Together with my co-teacher at Sunday school before with the kids... Look how tall they are now >.<
So that is all for my week so far. I know my planner looks like nothing has happened lol but really, I try to make it fun and interesting for me to not slack off and get lazy.

BDJ Box - December

Last Friday, I finally received my BDJ box for the month of December. BDJ had a bit of a problem with our boxes last month so it was delayed for a bit. Well, I am glad they did because I got a lovely freebie from them as a token of apology for our late box :D

So just like my November box, I also did a video showing the whole products just to cut this post short.

So this is the freebie from them :) Of course as a paper person I do appreciate this VERY MUCH! I think I am much more excited for this compared to the contents of the box itself lol :D

The second time around BDJ didn't fail me. I mean The lipstick alone is just enough to satisfy me. I mean I don't really like reds and I rarely wear that color but I tried it for 2 days and it's amazing :) Review to follow. Then there's the stickers which you all know I'm gonna stick to my planners and journals. And of course the Snoe chapstick! Oh I am obsessed! Again review to follow :)
